5 steps to quick Pinoy Chili con Carne

Jump to recipe

I’m here again waxing poetic about my #foodmemories. Probably because of our long history with Mexico, a lot of my favorite food is Mexican -burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and of course, Chili Con Carne. Chili con carne is a warm comforting dish that’s great for feeding big crowds, or when it’s rainy and you need something hot and filling. Made with a mixture of meat, vegetables, and spices, this hearty dish is perfect for those who love bold and flavorful food. Whether you’re looking for a filling meal or a comfort food dish, Filipino Chili con Carne is sure to satisfy.

I used to order this a lot in Wendy’s when I was in college. 2 Chili con carne with extra rice. Then add more chili sauce and a dash of salt. For a poor college girl, this solved the eternal hungry a lot but not enough budget to buy food problem.!

When I got married, this is one of the many recipes I forced on my husband. Here is a great Pinoy Chili con Carne recipe, using the Mccormick Chili Con Carne Mix for ease of preparation.

The main ingredient in this dish is the meat, which is typically made with ground beef or beef chunks. The beef is browned in a pan until it is fully cooked and then mixed with a blend of vegetables, such as onions, garlic, peppers, and tomatoes. To give the dish its signature flavor, a mixture of spices is added, including cumin, chili powder, and paprika. The dish is then simmered until the flavors are fully developed and the sauce is thick and hearty.

One of the great things about Filipino Chili con Carne is its versatility. Additionally, you can customize the dish to your liking by adjusting the level of spice or adding additional ingredients, such as beans, corn, or cheese. This Chili con Carne recipe is one that keeps for long in the refrigerator even if you cook a lot. And yes! Cook a lot because it’s very versatile. You can top it on a bed of rice, on buttered crusty bread, eat alone, or with hotdogs, or even as a filling for tacos or burritos. . This is also great as toppings and I use it for loaded fries.
