Homemade Ice Cream
Ice cream cost and overpriced pint of ice cream got you down? You don’t need a fancy ice cream maker. These no-churn recipes for classic chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream makes cold and creamy delectables that you can easily enhance with assorted flavors and mix-ins: candies, cookies, nuts, fruits, you name it. The only equipment you’ll need is an electric mixer and a freezer safe loaf pan. Your kids (and not so kids) will be so happy!
Ingredients:
– 400 – 500 ml evaporated milk (cold or almost frozen)
-1 cup Nestle cream
-1 1/2 can condensed milk
Instructions:
In one bowl, mix milk and heavy cream in high speed until it doubles in volume. Add in the condensed milk, and some fruit puree (if using). For this one I only used cookies and cream and mango since that’s what I have. Fold in and mix thoroughly but quickly, until well incorporated. Transfer to a freezer safe tub and wait about 5 to seven hours before serving.
Notes:
I don’t like it as frozen so I make sure to take it out 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
