There’s something about February that makes me want to cover everything in sprinkles. Maybe it’s the leftover Christmas sugar rush, maybe it’s just the excuse to melt chocolate and let the kids go wild. Valentine’s treats don’t need to be fussy. These chocolate-covered pretzels are proof — crunchy, sweet-salty, and dressed up in pink with almost no effort.
This is one of those recipes where the process is the fun. A bowl of melted candy melts, a tray of pretzels, a handful of sprinkles, and you’ve got yourself an edible craft project. My daughter and I made a batch for her classmates, and honestly, I think we ate more than we packed.
Ingredients You’ll Need
- Pretzels (mini twists work best)
- Candy melts (pink, red, or white)
- Valentine’s sprinkles
- Parchment paper
Instructions
Step 1: Melt the Candy Melts
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt candy melts in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.

Step 2: Dip Pretzels
Hold a pretzel by one side, dip halfway into the melted candy, and let the excess drip off.

Step 3: Add Sprinkles
Lay pretzels on parchment paper and immediately cover with sprinkles before the coating hardens.

Step 4: Let Them Set
Leave on parchment for 15–20 minutes until hardened.
