Work-From-Home Won’t Work Without Comfy-Chic Clothes

If working from home in your pajamas was ever acceptable, those days are over mommas! While lazing around in loungewear seems ideal, it’s been proven that getting dressed helps productivity and mental well-being. But sneaking a conference call in while wearing cutoff shorts and a stained tee just doesn’t fly either. Fear not – I’ve scouted out some cozy-yet-polished outfit combos to keep you feeling put together all workday long!

Let’s start with the mom WFH uniform – leggings! While black is a classic, I highly recommend jazzy it up with wild prints or bright colors. Places like Old Navy and LOFT have some really fun options that are office appropriate from the waist up but feel like sweats below. The print leggings from LOFT with a solid top is my personal weekdays vibe.

Pro-tip: For added professionalism, pair leggings with a long line or tunic length top to de-emphasize any lumps and bumps without sacrificing comfort. Drapey fabrics like linen or rayon are ultra breathable for hot summer days – a godsend when the kids are home too!

Speaking of tops, invest in some wardrobe workhorses like blouses, button downs and polos. I love the washable silk from Grana – airy and lux yet won’t wrinkle into oblivion mid-meeting. Lightweight fabrics will keep you feeling fresh all day. Stock up on neutral colors like white, black and grey then add patterned scarves or statement jewelry for variety.

But let’s be real – some days call for maximal chill vibes. On those occasions, loungewear sets from Cozy Earth and PJ Salvage are the next best thing to pjs! Pair sweatshirt and jogger sets with sneakers for the ultimate lazy girl aesthetic. Bonus is they photograph well on camera too. Just be sure to change into real people clothes if actually leaving the house!

Footwear is key to keeping cozy too. On nicer days, I live in cushioned slides like the ones from Minnetonka. They look polished with outfits but feel like slippers. On cooler days, fuzzy or faux fur lined slippers from Places Like Ugg keep tootsies toasty around the house.
