The gloom and doom of January. How are you guys? This is the time of the year when I’m always depressed or overwhelmed. Am I the only one feeling this way? The entire Holiday season always starts great then goes downhill from there as I get more and more unhappy. It’s like my entire life force is sucked out as I spend more energy on going out, meeting with friends, preparing food, thinking of gifts, and just generally being happy.
With social media, Facebook and Instagram, it has even become worst in the recent years. It’s like my body absorbs the energy and I get to bear all the effort that everyone spent in preparing for their holidays. Which makes me feel so tired and restless.
The depression plus feeling guilty that you’re feeling this way in such a happy occasion is the worst.
In any case, it’s the new year. I have been absenting myself from social media to recover my energy. From this little reprieve, I’ve been trying to rebuild my routine and realigning my goals for this year.
This year, I want to try and have my word of the year. A word of the year is a guide that will let you remember your focus. It’s like a mantra and a prayer for helping you figure out what to do when you get a little lost.
I chose the word INTENTIONAL as my mantra for this year.
My family is the most important thing in my life. That’s why, they need my full attention, and not half or 1/4 of my attention. I will focus on spending more time with them, with engaged conversation and talk. Plus a whole lot more of experiences that creates memory this year!
It’s so easy to get lost in the millions of tasks to be done. I will be more intentional and find time to do the important and not just the immediate tasks. I will define my job hours and stick to them. I will outline the things that always distracts me so I can get away from them. Its been almost a year since I started blogging regularly and I think I got carried away with it.
This year, I will try and maintain a cleaner and more functional house. I will involve the family in doing the house chores with a weekly schedule so everyone feels responsible for maintaining a nice livable house that the family can breathe in. I will be intentional about living simply and not accumulate so much stuff in the house. I will also declutter every month with a mission to create a house with more space.
I will not jump in any bandwagon diet and instead build a consistent healthy diet and exercise, not only for me but also for my family.
There is no such thing as a perfect diet and I will have more whole foods integrated to our regular food. I will have physical activities not only for my body but also to beat stress. I will supplement my nutrition by drinking Athena milk for women everyday!
Did you know that drinking milk specially made for women can promote weight loss and alleviate PMS symptoms?
Since Athena is the milk created for women, especially formulated to meet our special nutritional needs. It has High Calcium essential for optimum bone health. It is also a source of Vitamins D and K, Magnesium and Phosphorus – nutrients to help maintain strong bones. Athena milk is low in Fat so you can enjoy this beverage without the risk of high caloric intake. Most importantly, Athena is a source of Anti-oxidants such as Vitamins A & E and Zinc to help maintain healthy skin and promote our immune function.
Since I’ve started drinking Athena about 4 months ago, I had higher energy level. I’m not a milk drinker, and I had trouble with the taste at first. It’s a bit on the sweet side. I found out that its better for me to dissolve the milk in hot water first then add cold water and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before drinking it.
Guys, this milk is really effective as part of your Beautrition regimen. I don’t know if it’s just psychological but it actually made my skin healthier, softer and more supple and that’s after drinking 2 boxes. I feel like I’m glowing. Maybe because of the Zinc. For ladies like me, I strongly recommend Athena!
I plan to do a self evaluation every month to see how I’m doing and to set monthly goals to help me accomplish my plan of being more intentional. I can’t wait to see how I do.
