Got leftover bread? How about over ripe bananas?
This easy Filipino breakfast recipe is a good way to get rid of them in an economical but fantastic tasting bread that sounds so sosyal. Like really, who gets to have french toast for breakfast in the Philippines? Maybe if you go out and eat in a chic but horrendously priced cafe.
That’s why these bread have a “sosyal’ connotation. But really, the French (or Europe in general), invented them to get rid of “lost bread” or day old breads.
Segue-ing (ha!), along with this budget recipe, I also want to introduce the Milk Magic’s New Fresh Milk offering in Modern Tetra Brik® Aseptic Edge Packaging.
Filipinos need more calcium in their diet and Milk Magic, the milk brand that offers to fulfill every Filipino’s calcium needs, introduces its latest offering, ‘Fresh Milk from Australia’ which comes in a modern Tetra Brik® Aseptic Edge package from Tetra Pak.
It’s a familiar brand, you should be able to find their Full Cream, Low Fat and Chocolate Milk products in your favorite grocery. The smiling face of Meryll Soriano has been their face for several years now. I know this brand because their Chocolate Milk (which my kids drink like water) is far more affordable than the leading brand with no sacrifice in taste. With the launch of Milk Magic Fresh, they are expanding their current portfolio of milk products to give more choices to Filipino consumers.
Milk Magic Fresh comes in 2 carton sizes. It comes in a 1 liter ideal for in-home consumption by the family and in a 250 ml for on-the-go consumption so that milk lovers can bring it anytime and anywhere. Consolidated Dairy and Frozen Food Corporation has chosen to produce these with Tetra Brik® Aseptic Edge packaging which is the first time in the Philippines. Its modern shape comes with an angled top panel giving it an ‘edge’ design. Both also come with resealable caps allowing for smooth pouring and convenience so that consumers have a hassle-free drinking experience as they enjoy fresh-tasting milk from Australia.
