Garlic butter shrimp is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that can be enjoyed as an appetizer or a main course. The dish is made with large shrimp that are sautéed in a garlic butter sauce, making it a perfect dish for any seafood lover.

Let’s admit it, there’s nothing quite like the taste of garlic butter shrimp. It’s one of those dishes that always brings back fond memories for me. Whether it’s a family gathering or a casual dinner with friends, the rich, buttery flavor of garlic shrimp always hits the spot.

Truth to tell, I’m not much of a seafood connoisseur. I try to be, but I’m just not at that level yet. But I do know that when it comes to garlic butter shrimp, I’m all in. The combination of tender, juicy shrimp and that rich, buttery garlic sauce is just too good to resist.

One of my favorite ways to make garlic butter shrimp is to sauté it in a pan with some butter and lots of minced garlic. The key is to cook the shrimp quickly over high heat so that it doesn’t get rubbery. Once the shrimp is cooked, I add in a little bit of white wine and let it simmer for a minute or two. This helps to create a richer, more flavorful sauce. (Don’t worry if you don’t have that. Sprite will do in a pinch and I mostly use that for Sunday meals anyway.)

So, whether you’re a seafood connoisseur or just a lover of rich, buttery flavors, give garlic butter shrimp a try. It’s a dish that is sure to bring back fond memories and make your taste buds sing.

To make garlic butter shrimp, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup of white wine (or Sprite)
  • 1/4 cup of chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

To begin, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the butter and allow it to melt. Next, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Sauté the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.

Next, pour in the white wine and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow the sauce to cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.

Once the sauce has thickened, remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley. The dish is now ready to be served.

One of the best things about garlic butter shrimp is that it is a versatile dish that can be served in a variety of ways. You can serve it over rice, pasta, or even with a side of vegetables. It also pairs well with a variety of different beers, wines, and cocktails.

Another great thing about garlic butter shrimp is that it can be made in advance and reheated. Simply store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat it in a skillet or microwave.

This dish is easy to customize to your own taste. You can add more or less garlic, depending on how much you enjoy the flavor. You can also add different herbs like rosemary or thyme to give it a different flavor.
