Ingredients
- 4 cream dory fish fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Start by marinating the fish fillet in calamansi juice and half the salt for about 15 minutes.
- Season the fish fillets. In a small bowl, combine the flour, salt, and pepper. Dip the fish fillets in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and parsley.
- Dip the fish fillets in the beaten eggs, then coat them with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing the breadcrumbs onto the fish to make sure they stick.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the fish fillets in the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Using a slotted spoon, remove the fish fillets from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve the crispy cream dory fish fillets with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
